After over 25 years of dedicated service to the community of Dixon, Chief Steven Howell is hanging up the uniform.
Dixon Police Department, would like to take this opportunity to thank Chief Howell for his service.
Chief Howell has held numerous positions within the department including Field Training Officer, Designated Officer in Charge, Joint Operations Group, Detective, School Resource Officer, Sergeant, Detective Sergeant, and finally Chief of Police.
The Dixon Police Department and the City of Dixon are better and safer because of his commitment and dedication to both of them said the department in their news release.
The Department said they wish Chief Howell the best as he enters the next chapter of his life.
