Wednesday afternoon shortly after 3:30, Whiteside County Deputies were dispatched to a SUV vs Dirt Bike accident in the 1800 block of Lomax Road.
When Deputies arrived, they discovered an unresponsive 13-year-old male. Deputies and EMS Personnel rendered medical aid, however, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Prophetstown Fire and EMS, the Illinois State Police, Illinois Department of Natural Resources Conservation Police and the Whiteside County Coroner’s Office assisted the Whiteside County Deputies at the scene.
The accident remains under investigation by the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Crash Reconstruction Unit.
