Just before 5:00 pm on Monday, May 12, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle crash in the area of Palmyra Road and Peek Home Road in rural Dixon.
Investigating Deputies learned a 2020 Harley driven by 26-year-old Jordan M. Goodell of Rock Falls was traveling northeast bound on Palmyra Road. Deputies say 35-year-old Melissa J. Blomberg of Dixon was traveling southwest bound on Palmyra Road in her Dodge Journey when the two vehicles collided.
Goodell was transported to OSF St. Katherine Hospital and later transported to OSF St. Anthony’s in Rockford for further treatment. Blomberg and her passenger were transported to CGH Medical Center in Sterling for non-life-threatening injuries.
The Dixon Rural Fire Department and Advance EMS Ambulance Services assisted the Lee County Sheriff’s Office. The cause of the collision is still under investigation. No further information is currently available.
