On Monday afternoon, April 14, the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office and Monroe Center Fire/EMS responded to a two-vehicle-accident at the intersection of IL RT 72 and N. Mulford Road in Monroe Center.
Upon arrival, Deputies found that a car driven by 32-year-old Veronica Rodriguez of Melrose Park was traveling southbound on N. Mulford Road and did not stop for the stop sign before entering onto RT 72. An eastbound vehicle struck Rodriguez’s vehicle on the passenger side.
Rodriguez was cited for disobeying a stop sign and given a future court date. There were no injuries reported.
