The City of Sterling says Isn’t progress exciting?
The city suggests you check out photos of the new pavilion going up at the riverfront park.
* The playground and splash pad are on track to be completed by July 1st.
* The pavilion will be finished by late summer/early fall.
* The ice skating ribbon will follow in late fall.
Meanwhile, there has been important behind-the-scenes progress on the Lawrence Building.
Bids for asbestos cleanup are due by the end of April, and remediation will begin shortly after. Once that’s complete, you’ll start to see the visible transformation. For safety reasons, the city cannot begin any restoration work until remediation is finished.
