A Fun Chaos for the Dixon Park Districts Easter Egg Extravaganza

When you have over a thousand kids and parents all looking for plastic Easter eggs filled with candy, you have a fun chaos.

That is what happened Saturday as the Dixon Park District hosted their Easter Egg Extravaganza.  The district placed 12,000 eggs out behind the Facility in age appropriate areas.  Activities Director Seth Nicklous said he hoped that would be enough.

The park district did have a box filled with extra eggs just to make sure no one would be going home empty handed.

Earlier in the day, the park district hosted a special Easter Egg Hunt.  This was those with sensory sensitivity.  This is a time for those kids who may not handle large crowds and loud noises.  Nicklous said it went well with about 20 kids participating.

The kids also had a chance to have pictures with the Easter Bunny and some took home a brand new bicycle.
