State Representative Brad Fritts (R-Dixon) joined other House Republicans in a Capitol press conference Tuesday morning to discuss the failures and mismanagement at several Illinois agencies. Agencies under Governor J.B. Pritzker’s leadership have been riddled with controversy among reports of abuse, neglect, and improper procedures.
One of the issues pointed out was cases of abuse at state facilities that have happened at the Illinois Department of Human Services (DHS).
Fritts pointed out numerous incidents reported at Mabley Developmental Center in Dixon and said that Mabley has been rife with issues of utter mismanagement for years.
He stated that numerous cases of abuse and neglect have been reported at the facility that is supposed to care and protect Illinois’ most vulnerable.
Fritts called it a widespread issue but unfortunately, the governor is more worried about running for president than running his own state agencies.
