In some communities it means if you have yard waste and such, it is just about time for you to begin setting out the yard waste and you can get them picked up.
In Sterling, the day for the resuming of yard waste collection is Monday, March 31.
In Dixon, the first day of yard waste pick-up is also on Monday, March 31.
The yard waste needs to be either in the approved brown yard waste bags or in a container marked with a white X. You can put out branches and the like; however, they must be in 4 feet long tied bundles. Burning of yard waste is not allowed within the city limits.
