On February 6, the city of Dixon will be honoring its favorite son, President Ronald Reagan.  The reason is it is the date Reagan was born.

To mark the date, the Young American Foundation, the current owners of the Ronald Reagan Boyhood Home plans to celebrate the event.  At the Northwest Territory Historical Center, they are having a birthday celebration.

During the evening, the special guest will be former Secret Service Agent Tim McCarthy.  McCarthy is the agent who took a bullet while protecting the President during the failed assassination attempt.

Director Kyle Ferrebee said following the presentation by McCarthy, there would be a question and answer time.

Ferrebee said the home is planning to have several these types of events.  Ferrebee called them roundtable.  Tom Wadsworth would be the moderator for the evening.

At 5:30 will be cocktails and the dinner follows.  To be a part of the evening you would need to register at YAF.Ord and the cost is $25 per person.  It goes from 5:30-8:00 PM.
